Body Bliss is the exercise of the New Millennium – a time of awakening and heightening awareness; a time of accessing unlimited potential, and of sustaining quality of life into advanced years. Gaia, a Mind/Body Therapist, developed this approach to optimal health and conscious awareness as a result of her studies and experience in martial arts, mind/body psychology, and Integral Yoga.
Most of the exercise we do in this culture is linear or Western based. The muscles move back and forth, and up and down. Little new information is communicated to the brain and central nervous system, so the neurology, like a bored school child, turns off and we lose the benefit of the remarkable intelligence the body holds. By adding Body Bliss, a program of non-linear exercise that uses arcs, spirals and waves, to your health and fitness program, you uplevel the intelligence and resonance of the body. As a result you Body Bliss, a Somatic Process , is designed to “re-mind’ your body or put your awareness back into your body. This is necessary to bring ourselves back into balance after getting so busy and so mental that we live in our heads and drag our poor bodies along.
Stress which leads to pain ages and debilitates the body. Pain can be seen as squares or blocks. However, our body is made of circles and spirals and waves. Engaging in natural movement - spirals, arcs and waves - dissolves the blocks of pain and unconscious programming. These pleasurable movements produces endorphins, the pleasure chemicals in our brain and we begin to feel good feelings in our physical body where before we felt stress and pain or a lack of feeling. This changes the relationship we have with our body as well as our self image and self esteem.
Through the practice of Body Bliss you will feel alive, your muscles and joints will become more resilient and your immune system will be strengthened. In addition, you will access more Chi, which means life force energy. In short, you will foster a Healthy Happy Body!! Body Bliss!
